Opdahl Chiropractic, Massage & Regenerative Medicine Treatment Options:

Chiropractic Spinal Manipulation Treatment: Perform chiropractic adjustments by hands or a device to apply a controlled force to a joint of the spine, moving it beyond its passive range of motion. The amount of force applied depends on the form of chiropractic adjustment used. The goal of the treatment is to relieve pain, increase physical functioning and maximize your body’s healing potential.

Massage Therapy: Massage is the working of superficial and deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, to enhance function, aid in the healing process, and promote relaxation and well-being.

Electrical Nerve and Muscle Stimulation Therapy: Electrical Muscle Stimulation is an internationally accepted and proven way of treating muscular injuries. It works by sending electronic pulses to the muscle needing treatment; this causes the muscle to exercise passively. What are benefits of EMS (Electronic Muscle Stimulation):

  • Relaxation of muscle spasms
  • Prevention or retardation of disuse atrophy
  • Increasing local blood circulation
  • Muscle re-education
  • Maintaining or increasing range of motion

Ultrasound Deep Heat Therapy: Ultrasound equipment generates high-frequency sound waves that are transferred into the injured tissue using a transducer hand help probe. The sound waves travel deep into muscles, creating a deep penetrating heat. We also use ultra sound as a diagnostic tool.

The heat helps relieve pain and inflammation, reduce muscle spasms, and accelerate healing. Depending on the treatment area, range of motion may be increased.

Laser Therapy: Class III and IV Laser Therapy are used to treat both acute and chronic conditions. It is an FDA approved treatment that stimulates tissue healing and decreased pain.

Intersegmental Traction: It is a way of inducing passive motion into the spine for the purpose of stretching spinal joints and increasing spinal mobility.

Since discs have a poor blood supply, they get nutrients from the circulation of fluids surrounding spinal joints. Fixations prevent this natural circulation and can cause disc thinning and degeneration. Intersegmental traction helps increase and restore necessary elasticity and motion to the spine.

Accident Injury Rehabilitation: Rehabilitation physical medicine is using active and resistive exercise to increase strength and mobility of injured tissue. Rehabilitation helps patients recover from physical injuries as quickly and completely as possible preventing re-injury.

Trigger Point Injections: Pain management treatment that involves injecting a local anesthetic into a trigger point to relax muscles and relieve pain.

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Treatment: Uses a patient's own blood cells to accelerate healing in a specific area.

Stem Cell Treatment: A form of regenerative medicine designed to repair damaged cells within the body using your own bodies stem cells procured from your own fat cells to reduce inflammation and heal a specific area.
